What are Italian charms?

Italian charms are rectangular links that are made to clip together. Due to their design, you can join any number of them so you can create your very own unique bracelet. Charms can be removed and placed in different positions as your mood takes you.

What do you need?

Most people have a starter bracelet - which is a bracelet of blank links. To this, you add the charms you require in any order you wish. If the bracelet is too large you simply remove one of the blank charms.

How do you fit the charms together?

Because the Italian charm bracelets are meant to be worn, they have been designed to stand upto the rigors of every day life which means that you can't just slip off the charms. There is a knack to fitting and removing charms which takes a few minutes practice but once mastered there should be no problems. To the right is a diagram with instructions.

1) Use your thumb to push the front side of the link upwards, this will slide open the clasp.

2) This clasp hooks onto the bar of the link you are adding
3) Once the clasp is securely hooked onto the bar the spring mechanism will slot the new link into place

How many Italian links do I need for my size wrist?

A starter bracelet has 14 blank links and depending on the size of your wrist, links can be added or removed to fit comfortably. A guide to help is below:
